Badami, Hampi and Bijapur Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Our representative will welcome you at Bangalore Railway Station or Airport and drive to Chitradurga, a place gets popularity for the fort built between the 10th and 18th centuries. Chitradurga Fort is also called Kallina Kote or Yelu Suttina kote (in Kannada language) because it comprises a series of seven enclosure walls. This seemingly impregnable fort has 18 ancient temples, 19 gateways, 38 posterior entrances, a palace, a mosque, granaries, oil pits, four secret entrances and water tanks. Visit the beautiful fort and then after lunch, drive to Hampi, one of the most visited tourist places of Karnataka. This historical place known for exquisite temples, the ruins of famous monuments built during the Vijayanagar empirical rule. The ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed as the Group of Monuments at Hampi. On arrival at Hospet, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
After Breakfast, drive to Hampi for Sightseeing (Virupaksha Temple, Kadale Kalu Ganesha, Sasive Kalu Ganesha, Krishna Temple, Lakshmi Narasimha, Badavi Linga, Sister Stones, Underground Temple, Mint House, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Hazara Rama Temple, Palace Area, Mahanavami Dibba, Queen's Bath). After Lunch visit Vijaya Vittala Temple (Stone Chariot), King's Balance, Purandara Mantapa, Old Pillar Bridge. if time permits, proceed to visit Tungabhadra Dam, constructed across the Tungabhadra River. Evening, return to the hotel and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3
Morning after breakfast, check out the hotel drive to Kudalasangama, the Aikya Mantapa or the holy Samādhi of Basavanna, the founder of the Lingayath faith along with Shiva Linga, which is believed to be self-born (Swayambhu), is here. Then proceed to visit Aihole, a popular tourist spot known for Chalukyan architecture, with about 125 stone temples dating from 5th century CE. Then visit Pattadakal, a UNESCO world heritage site, well known for Chalukya monuments. Then visit Banashankari (Banashankari Temple), Mahakuta (Mahakuteshwara Temple) and finally drive to Badami. Badami was formerly known as Vatapi, was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. On arrival at Badami, visit famous rock cut structural temples. Evening, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4
Morning after breakfast, check out the hotel drive to Vijayapur (Bijapur). a well known hisrotical destination for the great monuments of historical importance built during the Adil Shahi dynasty. On arrival at Vijayapur (Bijapur), check in to the hotel and then proceed for the sightseeing. Visit Gol Gumbaz a tomb of Adil Shah and the most important landmark of Vijayapur, Jamia Masjid, Ibrahim Roza, Malike-e-Maidan, Upari Burj and Bara Kaman. Evening, return to the hotel and overnight stay at the temple.
Day 5
Morning, after breakfast, check out the hotel and drive to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore, you will be transferred to the Airport or Railway station or Hotel. Trip ends with the delightful memories of Bangalore - Hampi - Badami - Bijapur Tour Package Travel Package.
